North Korea & News.

The opinions of the authors in the opinion pieces are expressed through the tone and selection of facts within each article. For example in The Guardian’s post they describe President Trump “vanity and ignorance may well blind him to this clash” whereas in the Fox article they describe his actions (on the same happening) something worth a “Nobel Peace Prize for President Trump.”

Arguing the TRUTH.

The writers attempt to sway the reader by presenting facts in a way that supports each of their opinions; arguing the “truth” to fit their lens. Based on Wikipedia, the Guardians viewers are left leaning whereas Fox subscribers are right wing. Additionally, Guardian is not an American based news company therefore is less likely to “side” or solely defend the US. Therefore, Fox is much more likely to defend America in the NK battle and Guardian is more likely to take a neutral stand (as they are not ‘directly’ involved in the negotiations). In general, Opinion Pieces can be informational, yet should be taken with a grain of salt. Proper & good journalism should remain professional and without bias.
